Button determined to enjoy himself

Jenson Button says he will enjoy himself in today's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix even though only qualifying fifth was a disappointment.

The newly-crowned world champion had been the closest challenger to his predecessor Lewis Hamilton through practice, but a mystery vibration on his Brawn in Q3 left him on the third row of the grid despite carrying a relatively light fuel load.

But Button remains very upbeat and is looking forward to a race day charge.

"I've had a great weekend - that's why it's annoying being fifth on the grid, because I think we would've been on the front row with Lewis," he said.

"If we can sort the problem, I think we can still have a fun race.

"P5's not that bad - it's the best qualifying I've had for many races, so I think we can have fun with the Red Bulls.

"Lewis? I'm not sure we can challenge him.

"I want to beat Lewis, like at any grand prix you want to win the race, but I think they're four to five tenths quicker than us.

"It doesn't matter for the championship, but I'm a racing driver and I want to do the best I can, and I'm very competitive.

"So I'm looking forward to the race, and hopefully it's going to be a good circuit to race on."

Team boss Ross Brawn agreed that even though the title was settled, there was no chance of Brawn or Button taking it easy in today's race.

"That tension that comes from the championship has gone, but the competitive nature of what we do is still there," said Brawn.

"So we were a bit disappointed in qualifying, I thought we could do a little bit better and it didn't quite come together.

"It's nice to get the championship behind us, but I'll still be disappointed if we don't have a good race.

"We've got very good straightline speed, so I think on the first lap or two we'll be attacking."
